Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must be an Indian national.

Past fellows under the NIF Book Fellowship are also eligible to apply.
Benefits: Each fellowship provides a grant of INR 18 lakhs, disbursed as follows:
INR 1 lakh per month as a stipend for 12 months.
INR 6 lakhs upon submission of the final manuscript to the publisher.

Terms and Conditions:
Fellows may choose to write a memoir, reportage, or academic study.
Completed manuscript must be submitted to the publisher within 12 months from the fellowship commencement.
All materials must be original; plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
