Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital is a trust hospital started in 1987 due to the Bhopal Gas tragedy (in 1984) with severe loss of vision and blindness. The hospital is providing affordable and accessible comprehensive eye care services to weaker section of the society in Bhopal and nearby districts of Madhya Pradesh. Since inception, Hospital organized around 2600+ Free Eye Camps, examined more than 27.90 Lakh patients and conducted 3 Lakh surgeries. Apart from this, hospital has also performed Keratoplasty (Cornea Transplant) of 1921+ visually impaired patients, thus providing them with “Gift of Sight”. Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital has established 39 Primary Eye Health centers in 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh. These centres work as OPD desks of the hospital in certain pockets where poor people in and around these centres approach and get their eyes tested. The patients identified with cataract or other diseases are referred to the base hospital for the required treatment.
Key Responsibilities & Job Description:-
• Responsible for day-to-day implementation of Vision Centre as per project activities
• Preparing Monthly and quarterly plan in consultation with the Project Manger.
• Close monitoring of Vision Centre through regular field visits and activities being undertaken.
• Supportive supervision to Optometrist/Vision Technician, Field Staff and data entry operators.
• Preparation of monthly, Quarterly, annual and other reports.
• Documentation of all the records and reports of the Vision Centre to be maintained.
• Conduct field level monthly meeting and update Project Manager.
• Working closely with the Vision Centre area/Village and for effective coordination.
• Analyzing quality aspect of the Vision Centre periodically and accordingly developing systems.
• Assessing training needs of Vision Centre Staff and accordingly upgrading their skills
• Supporting personnel’s for any other work allotted to them.
• Frequent travel to different district/blocks for Vision Centre activities.
• Any other work assigned by hospital.
Qualification & Experience:
• Graduation in relevant field (Social sciences, Health management, Public Health)
• Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in Health sector(Eye health/care experience preferable)
Skills required:

• Interpersonal skills at all levels
• English and Hindi Language
• Good Computer Skills
