New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting America and Egypt from June 20 to 25. He is visiting America at the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. After this visit, PM Modi will join the list of great people like Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela who have addressed the joint session of the US Congress twice.
PM Modi's visit will begin in New York. Modi will lead the celebration of International Yoga Day at the United Nations headquarters on June 21. The day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014. PM Modi will then go to Washington DC. There he will be formally welcomed to the White House on June 22. The President will hold talks with Biden as part of the ongoing high-level dialogue here. The same evening, Biden will host a state dinner in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
PM Modi will attend a lunch jointly hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris and Foreign Secretary Antony Blinken the next day.
