Eligibility:
- Indian citizens
- Graduated with a minimum of 65% marks in a relevant undergraduate degree
- Admitted to a PhD program in science or technology at a participating institute
Benefits:
- Monthly fellowship of Rs. 70,000 per year (total of Rs. 10 lakhs for five years)
- Research grant of Rs. 2 lakhs per year
- Reimbursement of travel expenses for attending conferences and workshops
Selection process:
- Two channels: Direct Entry Channel and Lateral Entry Channel
- Selection based on merit, as determined by a national-level selection committee
