Vacancy for the post of Researcher
Project – Integrating Gender in Medical Education
Field Project across India
CEHAT, the Centre for Enquiry into Health and Allied Themes, is seeking passionate professionals in public health, medicine, and social sciences to join a groundbreaking project. We are dedicated to integrating gender concerns into medical education and research at prestigious medical colleges in India. If you have a deep understanding of the social determinants of health, extensive knowledge of gender and its impact on health, and a desire to bridge the existing knowledge gap in medical education, we want to hear from you.
Background: We're on a mission to bridge the knowledge and perspective gap in the existing medical curriculum. By working closely with medical educators, undergraduate and postgraduate students, we seek to revolutionize health services through training, research, and reform. This is an unprecedented innovation in the field of medical education, empowering medical teachers to become agents of change in medical education, research, and clinical services.
But that's not all. As healthcare providers are often the first point of contact for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, they have a crucial role to play. By expanding their knowledge and sensitivity, we can equip them to provide not just evidence collection and treatment, but also identify and support women facing violence who may not have the courage to report it. Together, we can address violence against women as a critical health issue.
The project builds on CEHAT’s past efforts on engaging medical education in Maharashtra. This was a collaborative effort with DMER and MUHS which led to development of gender integrated modules which were tested for efficacy.
