J-PAL SA, based at the Institute of Financial Research and Management in India, seeks a Web Technology Associate for its Creating Learning Opportunities for Public Officials (C-LOP) team based in New Delhi. We are looking for a high-calibre individual who can leverage his/her knowledge, experience to build and maintain the website and various web applications associated with the project.
The C-LOP Initiative is a fund dedicated to support Government of India’s Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and other Government training institutions in their efforts to assemble a global coalition of knowledge partners and universities. By working in close partnership with DoPT, the CLOP initiative will create a platform that will provide lifelong learning opportunities to public officials in India to build their skills and knowledge across a wide range of domains.

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center working to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. Anchored by a network of 171 affiliated professors at universities around the world, J-PAL conducts randomized impact evaluations to answer critical questions in the fight against poverty. J-PAL South Asia, based at the Institute for
Financial Management and Research in India, leads J-PAL’s work in the South Asia region. J-PAL South Asia conducts randomized evaluations, builds partnerships for evidence-informed policymaking, and helps partners scale up effective programs. Over more than ten years of existence, J-PAL South Asia has conducted 182 ongoing and completed randomized evaluations.

The key responsibilities of a Web Technology Associate will include:
Maintaining and adding new features to the C-LOP website
Development of web applications based on inputs from senior developer(s), designers and research team members
Maintenance and modification of current web applications
API integration
Backup management
Qualifications:
B.Tech or MCA or equivalent computer science degree
4 to 6 years of experience in full stack web development
Strong development experience in Drupal
Strong development experience in Core PHP, relational databases like MySQL, non-relational databases like MongoDB, API Integration, HTML5, CSS and jQuery
API testing and integration Skills and competencies:
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at same time.
Attention to details and precision.
Keen interest in the performance and security of applications.
Candidates must have work authorization to work in India. This covers citizens of India, Nepal or Bhutan, Persons of Indian origin (PIO), and an Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
