1. Early Life: Born on April 18, 1992, in Bangalore, Karnataka, Rahul grew up in Mangalore. His father, K. N. Lokesh, is a former director at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, and his mother, Rajeshwari, is a professor at Mangalore University.

2. Cricket Beginnings: Rahul started playing cricket at the age of 10 and began representing Bangalore United Cricket Club and his local club in Mangalore. He later moved to Bangalore to study at Jain University and further pursue his cricket career.

3. Domestic Career: He made his first-class debut for Karnataka in the 2010–11 season and has since been a consistent performer for the team. He has had notable performances in domestic tournaments like the Ranji Trophy and the Duleep Trophy.

4. Indian Premier League (IPL): Rahul made his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 and has since played for various teams, including Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). In 2022, he was appointed as the captain of Lucknow Super Giants.

5. International Debut and Career: Rahul made his international debut in Test cricket against Australia in 2014. He has since represented India in all formats of the game, becoming the first Indian cricketer to score a century in his ODI debut.

6. Milestones: Rahul holds the record for being the fastest batsman to score an international century across all three formats, achieving this feat in just 20 innings.

7. Captaincy: Rahul has served as the captain of various teams, including captaining India in limited-overs matches as well as leading his IPL franchise.

8. Personal Life: In January 2023, Rahul married Indian actress Athiya Shetty, daughter of actor Suniel Shetty, after dating for over three years.

9. Recent Performances: Despite facing ups and downs in his career, Rahul has remained a key player for India, contributing consistently with both the bat and occasional wicketkeeping duties.

10. Injuries and Comebacks: Throughout his career, Rahul has faced injuries that have temporarily sidelined him from cricket, but he has always made successful comebacks, showcasing his resilience and determination.
