Section 1 | About Salaam Baalak Trust
Salaam Baalak Trust is a Not for Profit, Non-Governmental Organization, based in Delhi - India, and registered under the Indian Trust Act (1908). The Trust was established in December 1988 and provides support services for street and working children in the National Capital Region.
Salaam Baalak Trust has been working for street and working children in Delhi and the National Capital Region for the past 35 years. In the Delhi/NCR region, we have seven shelter homes, with five for boys and two for girls, nine contact points and three CHILDLINES functioning through which we reach out to 10,000 vulnerable children every year. Through our programs, we provide education, food, medical, psychological, and holistic development services to children. Our vision is to provide a platform, a safe space where every child can blossom to his/her full potential.
Section 2 | Purpose of the Role
The Teacher shall primarily be responsible for conducting classes at the centre, prepare study materials and do assessments for continuous evaluation progress of the students, ultimately ensuring their overall growth and development. He/she would also be required to maintain and update all class records in the centre along with active participation in various activities organized for children at the shelter home.

- Teacher must accommodate themselves well to the raw and/or negligible educational background of the children.
- Bridging the educational gaps to enable children to get to a level where they can be admitted into formal school.
- Supplementary coaching and tuition.
