Key Responsibilities:
• Training and capacity building of field teams (the partner organisation) on
Aangan’s curriculum for safety sessions and family strengthening work
• Coordinate with the field teams and support in planning and implementing the
program in order to ensure a sustainable work model.
• Lead and conduct monthly training with the volunteers from specific blocks
• Use innovative methods to deliver Aangan’s curriculum and tools, in order to make the classroom training an exciting and collaborative space to learn
• Enable partners to inspire and motivate women volunteers through classroom
training with the objective to build their knowledge and skills on child protection
• Work with partner staff to instil a sense of ownership and group cohesiveness
among the women volunteers and draw from them relevant experiences and local
knowledge
• Regular interaction with the anchor officials and other local stakeholders to ensure their involvement and accountability towards the program
• Observe and capture classroom trends, identify gaps and issues and provide
solutions to address gaps in a timely fashion
• Collate and develop case studies, stories from the field following ABCD
• Work closely with the Data officers in collecting and collating data from the field and using the data in strategizing the implementation plan
• Systematically address gaps in implementation as a result of the training and
ensure that overall outcomes are being met through sessions
• Creating cross learning opportunities among volunteers
• Develop a comprehensive understanding on Aangan’s curriculum and tools so as to be used for regular trainings
• Overseeing the quality of data being entered into registers and using the data and reports generated in house for planning actions to maximise impact.
Competencies and Abilities:
• Experience with and ability to build to work with various to work with stakeholders such as school principals, etc.
• Ability to strategize to build a strong rapport with partners and school officials and create buy in for them to take child protection as their priority.
• Excellent communication skills that spans across different stakeholders (partners and school officials and in some cases community based women and govt. officials).
• Proficiency in Hindi and English.
• Creative and critical thinking ability
• Ability to motivate an attitude of learning before, during and after the classroom sessions
• Willingness to listen and learn and respect different perspectives brought into the classroom
• Organized and ability to manage time well
• Willingness to travel
Education and Experience:
• Graduate/Post Graduate.
• At least 2+ years of experience in the area of Child Protection or community based work
• Experience with training groups of adults preferred
