Safe in India Foundation (SII) is a non-governmental social organization established in 2016 by alumni of IIM Ahmedabad alumni of IIMA in 2016. This initiative was driven by the need to address the distressing news of accidents occurring in the automobile factories and workshops of Manesar, a major automotive hub in India. Currently, SII seeks advice from the Council of Advisors (Council of Advisors) to prevent accidents in factories and improve worker safety in collaboration with ESIC (Employee's State Insurance Corporation) services.

Assisting injured workers in factories in Gurgaon/Faridabad/Pune in availing ESIC medical services and related benefits.

Utilizing this evidence to improve worker safety in Indian automobile companies and workshops, benefiting more than 100 million workers.

Utilizing their on-ground experience to improve ESIC processes, thereby benefiting 140 million Indians directly or indirectly dependent on ESIC.

Creating awareness among workers about "workplace safety" and the rights and responsibilities of "registered ESIC workers." Since 2016, SII has assisted more than 5,500 injured workers in availing their ESIC medical services and benefits. During this time, assistance worth INR 40 crores has been provided to registered injured workers through ESIC. In addition to this, SII has taken several important steps in collaboration with major vehicle manufacturers, central and state governments, and major industry organizations to prevent accidents.

Experienced and skilled field executives are required in the established Worker Assistance Centers in Faridabad and Manesar (Gurugram).

They will help in understanding the organization's objectives. They will spend more time with workers in their communities, ESIC hospitals, private hospitals, ESI dispensaries, and ESIC branch offices. It is important to have a basic understanding of ESIC and its benefits in order to assist injured workers in availing their ESIC benefits with confidence and patience.

Main Responsibilities of the Field Executive:

Providing information about ESIC to injured workers by filling out “paramarsh forms” while working in automobile companies.

Creating files to facilitate the process of availing ESIC benefits for injured workers.

Conducting awareness activities in worker communities, colonies, worker chowks, and IMT, through canopies, pamphlets, etc.

Providing assistance and writing applications for workers in ESIC hospitals, dispensaries, and branch offices when needed.

Identify the new ”shramik saathis” and managing their groups.

Keeping workers informed about the latest information on ESIC and its benefits through phone or personal means so that they can easily access their rights.

Establishing trust and cooperation among workers by informing them about the objectives of Safe in India Foundation.

Conducting meetings at worker colonies, FGDs (Focus Group Discussions), and preparing reports of the meetings.

Entering worker-provided information into the IT system.

Writing case reports and stories of workers.

Qualifications:

Field Executive should have full confidence in the principles and Values of Safe in India.

Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Hindi language is required. Understanding of English language is necessary.

Intermediate (12th) qualification is required, graduate in Social worker will be preferred

Knowledge of internet, email, video calls, Facebook, messaging, MS Office, and Excel is necessary.

Minimum 2 years of experience in social work at the grassroots level is required.

Must be honest and vigilant towards their work.

Ability to learn new skills and apply them during work.

Desire to work among the labor community on the ground.

Ability to build connections by communicating with workers.

Ability to identify new locations as work sites.

Maintain the quality of information during “paramarsh” and analyze it for reporting.

Accountability towards completing work within specified deadlines.

Must possess a valid driving license and be able to ride a bike/scooter.

Preference will be given to local residents in the selection of Field Executives

Priority will be given to workers currently working or previously worked in automobile companies in Faridabad and Manesar.
