Bihar STET 2026 – Apply Online | Eligibility, Fee & Exam Details

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 notification. Eligible candidates can apply online for Paper I (Secondary) and/or Paper II (Senior Secondary).

The online application process started on 17 August 2026, and the last date to apply and pay the examination fee is 31 August 2026.

The examination fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 1 August 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age – Male: 37 years
• Maximum Age – Female: 42 years

Applicable age relaxation will be provided according to Bihar STET rules.

Educational Qualification

Paper I – Secondary Level

Candidates may qualify through one of the prescribed routes, including:

• Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks + B.Ed.
• Master's Degree in the relevant subject + B.Ed.
• Bachelor's/Master's Degree with 45% marks as per NCTE norms + B.Ed.
• 4-year BA B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. qualification.

Paper II – Senior Secondary Level

Candidates may qualify through:

• Master's Degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks + B.Ed./BA B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.
• Master's Degree with 45% marks as per NCTE norms + B.Ed.
• Master's Degree with 55% marks + 3-year B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.

Candidates should keep scanned copies of the following documents ready:

• Recent passport-size photograph with white/light background
• Signature
• Class 10 marksheet/certificate
• Class 12 certificate and marksheet
• Bachelor's degree certificate and marksheets
• Master's degree certificate and marksheets, where applicable
• B.Ed. certificate and marksheet
• Other applicable educational certificates
• Category certificate, if applicable
• Domicile certificate, if required

1. Visit the official BSEB STET application portal.
2. Complete the online registration.
3. Enter your personal and educational details.
4. Select Paper I, Paper II or both, according to your eligibility.
5. Upload the required photograph, signature and documents.
6. Pay the applicable examination fee online.
7. Carefully check the application form before submission.
8. Submit the application before 31 August 2026.
9. Download and print the final application form for future reference.
