The Central Bank of India (CBI) has officially announced the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. The recruitment drive aims to engage 4,500 apprentices across various states and union territories of India.

Graduates looking to gain valuable experience in the banking sector can apply online from 12 June 2026 to 22 June 2026. Selected candidates will undergo a 12-month apprenticeship training program and receive a monthly stipend of ?15,000.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Graduation must have been completed on or after 01 January 2022.

  • Candidates must produce valid degree certificates during document verification.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must:

  • Be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal.

  • Be citizens of India or fulfill nationality conditions specified in the official notification.

  • Not have completed apprenticeship training previously.

  • Not possess one year or more of work experience after obtaining graduation.

The selection process consists of the following stages:

2. Local Language Test

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the state they apply for. Candidates who studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 may be exempted.

3. Document Verification

Verification of educational qualifications, age proof, category certificates, and other documents.

4. Medical Examination

Candidates must be medically fit as certified by an authorized medical practitioner.

Stipend and Benefits

Selected apprentices will receive:

  • Monthly Stipend: ?15,000

  • Practical Banking Training

  • Exposure to Banking Operations

Note: Apprentices will not be entitled to any additional allowances such as HRA, DA, or medical benefits.
