Job Overview:
The Domain Support Specialist in the SRF SCM RAN team is responsible for service quality assurance, software upgrades/updates, and configuration activities in the RAN (Radio Access Network) domain. The role involves managing configuration changes and software updates within a well-defined system support process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within established system support guidelines and processes.
- Prioritize work requests to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Work Level Agreements (WLA).
- Participate in internal technical discussions to improve performance and provide recommendations.
- Ensure correct work methodology to avoid outages and organize in-house training and backup plans.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of telecommunications, particularly in RAN 2G/3G/4G concepts.
- Understanding of service networks and applications, including their characteristics and capabilities.
- Familiarity with Key Service Performance Indicators and their interpretation.
- Experience with software upgrade processes for RAN nodes (BSC/E-Node-B).
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with sites post software upgrades of LTE.
