Organization Overview:

State Health Resource Centre (SHRC) provides technical support to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh with the aim to strengthen public healthcare services in the state. It is an autonomous institution set up in the year 2002. SHRC is involved in the implementation of the state-wide Community Health Worker Programme. It facilitates and monitors the implementation of Health and Wellness Centres under Comprehensive Primary Healthcare initiatives in rural and urban areas of Chhattisgarh.

SHRC is also involved in research and evidence generation for efficient policy-making and implementation for the State and has successfully supported the piloting of many innovative and replicable models for the country.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a well-motivated early to mid-career researcher to provide support in the implementation of a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The project aims to generate cutting-edge evidence on implementation strategies for effective primary health care delivery for burn care in the state of Chhattisgarh. Besides this project, the candidate will be engaged in various other research projects and get excellent opportunities to lead and support research outputs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent research skills, research project management capacity, good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 

Reporting Relationships

 

This position directly reports to the Executive Director/Senior Program Coordinator and performs her/his duty under his/her guidance. As part of the SHRC team, She/he may have to work with other team members.

 

The person will also manage a team of field-level data collectors and liaise with external project implementing institutes as and when required.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • The Senior Research fellow would be expected to 
  • Leading the development of all study-related protocols and documents.
  • Conducting literature reviews and developing questionnaires.
  • Overseeing project surveys and studies.
  • Managing data generated from the project.
  • Coordinating the development of training modules and implementation plans.
  • Facilitating training and capacity-building activities.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of health promotion strategies at selected sites.
  • Preparing project reports, presentations, and documents as needed.
  • Supporting quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Providing comprehensive support to the project team.
  • Drafting project-related reports, academic papers, and other documents.
  • Fulfilling other duties as assigned.
