Delhi and its surrounding areas experienced strong tremors on Friday night after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal. Residents in the Delhi-NCR area said the tremors lasted several seconds and videos captured showed fans and lights shaking inside people's homes.
People also rushed out of their homes and buildings and gathered in open spaces.
One such video showed two fans swaying side to side from the strong earthquake.
The earthquake struck at 11.32 pm, forcing people to rush out of their homes just as they were preparing for the weekend. There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake.
