Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must -

be a domicile of West Bengal

be studying in Class 11 to postgraduate level at an institution located in West Bengal

belong to the minority community (Buddhist, Christian, Jain Muslim, Parsee & Sikh) of West Bengal

have secured 60% marks in aggregate in last qualifying examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education for Higher Secondary level or Under Graduate level Scholarship OR 

have secured 60% marks in aggregate in diploma course from Institutes approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses through Lateral Entry) or affiliated by State Medical Faculty for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Pharmacy course through Lateral Entry) OR 

have secured 53% marks in aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any State University for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (General Education) /55% marks in Graduate Courses from any State University or AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy)

have an annual income of not more than INR 2.5 lakh

  • Institute verification form duly authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format

Step 3: Select the district where the applicant's institute is situated and click on 'Proceed'.

Step 4: Fill in the required details under the 'Student Information' and 'Scheme Eligibility' sections and Register.

Step 5: After successful registration, log in using the registered user ID and password.

Step 6: Fill in the application form, upload the relevant documents and submit.

Note - Submit the hard copy of the application form with the photocopies of the bank passbook to the concerned institute.
