Mumbai Mobile Creches
Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades. It runs comprehensive day care centers on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculam. In Mumbai, it serves over 4500 children through approximately 20 centers every year.
Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person who can efficiently pursue, manage and strengthen relationships with Mumbai Mobile Creches’ corporate, institutional and individual donors.
Responsibilities
• To participate and contribute in the development and implementation of the organization Fundraising Strategy
• To identify new corporates and funding sources, monitoring opportunities and approaching the new funders
• To ensure the donor record on CRM is up to date.
• To track and complete reports of various grants and donors as per the deadlines
• To write high quality proposals for all grants, according to funder’s deadlines and
specifications, and ensuring a timely approach to gathering information from other
departments
• To organize campaigns that will lead to donations and support the delivery and promotion of all fundraising activities/events
• To manage and coordinate all corporate and individual volunteer partnerships of the organisation
• Maintaining partnerships and relationships with other NGOs, schools, institutions etc. who could add value to the programme
• To create social media contents and uploading it on various social media platforms of MMC.
• To maintain and update MMC website regularly with information about MMC’s work
• To create and oversee the design, production and content of all communication materials like Brochures, Newsletter, Annual Report etc and Documentation, identifying good photos received from field, case studies, donation and grant related data, research and other evidences for visibility and promoting MMC’s work
• To provide general administrative assistance in support of the smooth running of the Fundraising Department
• To assist the Fundraising Manager and Chief Executive in external communication with important stakeholders like media, government and funding agencies, etc
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors/Masters in Mass Media
• Minimum 2 years fundraising experience.
• Must have a good command of written and spoken English, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management & interpersonal skills and professional presentation.
• Detail oriented, and highly organized.
• Should enjoy connecting with people and giving presentation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and deliver the desired outcome will be valued.
Mumbai Mobile Creches’ administrative office is in South Mumbai. Working hours are 9.30 am – 5.30 pm. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is a holiday.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
