FEDINA invites applications for the Training Coordinator’s position.

Fedina is primarily a labour rights organisation, with an emphasis on the intersectionality of caste, gender, and class. Fedina adopted the rights-based approach to empowering communities. The primary goal is to reach workers, including retired workers, to collectivise, assert dignity, claim their rights, and remediate violations.

Report to

Purpose of the role:
Develop, manage and coordinate the training program of the organisation
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with workers and community groups, such as informal sector workers, domestic workers, sanitation workers, retired informal sector workers, garment workers, children and youth in the workers community.
Identify training needs in the workers community related to social issues(Gender and Caste), workplace issues, labour violations, employee-employer relations, children and working parents relations with the consultation of the Coordinator.
Identify the training needs of FEDINA staff of common themes.
Coordinate the training team.
Develop the training capacities of the program team.
Design and Develop training strategy for the organisation both internal staff and for programs with clear learning outcomes.
Design and development interactive training modules and material with a focus to encourage workers to take actions for finding solutions for the problems they face at the workplace and society.
Essential skills
Knowledge of various participatory training methodologies and evaluation methods.
Ability to convey complex methodologies in simple, relatable and understandable ways to the workers and their community.
Ability to speak Kannada and English is a must.
Openness and team spirit is a must.
Desirable skills:
Fluency in any other south Indian language
Essential Qualification:
Post graduate degree in Social science, with courses related to research
Work Experience:
Experienced candidates in training on social issues and labour issues for at least 2 years.
