Job Description:

Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC systems for their Transmission projects. The role involves:

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the complete Mechanical Building Services scope for HVDC and FACTS technologies, particularly for substation projects.
- Designing and developing HVAC systems, including layouts and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Preparing HVAC system concepts, P&IDs, technical data sheets, and specifications.
- Performing detailed design calculations (e.g., cooling and heating loads, duct sizing, pump sizing).
- Creating and reviewing layouts (2D & 3D) for HVAC systems, including duct, pipe, and cable tray layouts.
- Evaluating and preparing Bill of Material for tenders and projects.
- Conducting engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical risk assessments.
- Participating in vendor offer evaluations, FAT/SAT processes, and inter-disciplinary meetings.
- Innovating to reduce engineering effort while maintaining quality.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of HVAC systems, including international standards like ASHRAE and SMACNA.
- Experience in HVAC system design, including heating systems (both electrical and hot water).
- Proficiency in Autodesk tools such as Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work under tight schedules.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-12 years of relevant work experience in HVAC system design and implementation.
