Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex programs using COBOL, ILE, RPG, SQL, and VSAM on IBM Mainframes (AS400).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop high-quality code that meets industry standards for performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot issues related to database management systems (DBMS) and resolve problems efficiently.
- Participate in peer reviews to ensure adherence to coding guidelines and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of COBOL programming language with expertise in developing complex applications.
- Proficiency in writing efficient JCL jobs for batch processing tasks.
- Experience with DBMS administration, including creating indexes, triggers, views, etc.
- Familiarity with RPGLE programming language for developing custom reports and interfaces.
