Job Description
Engage with organic millet growers at block and district levels.
Coordinate with District Project Coordinators, Block Coordinators, and relevant officials of OMM.
Provide field-level training to Community Resource Persons (CRPs) on organic format fill-up and crop monitoring.
Assist CRPs in data collection using Odia formats.
Enter collected data into APEDA websites.
Maintain regular contact with OSSOPCA.
Assist the seed team with other research activities.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Organization head.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: B.Sc in Agriculture, Botany, Life Science, or Environmental Science.
Experience: 2-3 years in organic millet cultivation or a related sector.
Skills:
Ability to travel within and outside Odisha.
Proficiency in written, presentation, documentation, and oral communication skills in Odia, English, and Hindi. Knowledge of indigenous languages is an asset.
Flexibility with work timings.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in community mobilization and conducting village-level meetings.
Competence in project-based survey work, data collection, and report compilation.
Ability to coordinate with NGOs, FPOs, SHGs, government departments, and PRI members for micro-planning and GPDP preparation.
Support farmers and women SHGs in project activities and training programs.
Assist Project Coordinator/Technical Experts in project planning and implementation.
