Job Description:-
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching social studies to students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Preference will be given to female candidates for this position. The Primary Social Teacher will be responsible for developing year plans, lesson plans, teaching lessons effectively using instructional aids, assessing student understanding, monitoring student progress, correcting notebooks and class tests, and implementing measures to support student improvement.
Responsibilities:-
- Develop year plans and lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Conduct engaging and interactive social studies lessons using a variety of teaching aids and resources.
- Assess student learning through regular evaluations, quizzes, assignments, and class tests.
- Monitor and track the academic progress of students in social studies.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents on student performance and areas for improvement.
- Correct notebooks and class tests promptly, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Implement strategies to support students who may be struggling academically in social studies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources for effective teaching.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Teaching certification or diploma in primary education or social studies education.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in primary education, with a focus on social studies.
- Strong knowledge of primary social studies curriculum standards and pedagogical practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young learners.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school administrators.
