Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for overall management including planning, programme implementation, overview, monitoring and administration of project/s in the state.
- The SPM will be primarily responsible for the strategic planning and programmatic implementation of BI project in the state of Bihar.
- Advocacy with state, district and sub-divisional officials of Health, Education, Police, district Administration and other stakeholder departments.
- Training and capacity building of stakeholders on tobacco control laws (COTPA-2003), ToFEI and other issues.
- Documentation and reporting- Compiling technical, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Business development - Drafting of concept notes and proposal writing for new projects
- Represent SEEDS in relevant platforms and enhance visibilities.
- Any other task/responsibility assigned by the Executive Director of SEEDS.
Essential:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, public health, management or development field
- At least 10 years of relevant project management experience in the health or development sectors, including at least 3 years in middle management experience.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in the tobacco control programmes and experience working in Bihar.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of donor environment, donor relations and donor reporting systems.
- Experience of working with Government department and stakeholders from Govt. institutions is desirable
- Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent skills in using MS office
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in civil society and the government at different levels.
- Experience of providing technical support to and capacity building of organizations.
- Ability and willingness to undertake extensive travel within the state and outside state as and when required.
- Fluent in English and Hindi
