The GEV Memorial Merit Scholarship was established to honour the legacy of Late Dr. Goolam E. Vahanvati, who served as the 13th Attorney General of India. The scholarship aims to encourage talented law students by reducing financial barriers to legal education while also providing professional mentorship to help them excel in their legal careers.
Selected candidates will receive:
Financial assistance ranging from ?50,000 to ?2,00,000 per year.

Support for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate legal education.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be an Indian citizen.
Should be:
Pursuing LL.B. or LL.M. in India, or
Preparing for law entrance examinations such as:
CLAT
LSAT—India
AILET
Other recognized law entrance examinations.
Must have secured at least 60% marks in both Class X and Class XII.
Annual family income should not exceed ?10 lakh.
Must be willing to participate in the scholarship's mentorship programme.
