Applicants to the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) in India must be Indian citizens enrolled in recognized educational institutions from Class 1 to postdoctoral levels. Eligibility and specific criteria, such as family income, academic performance, and category (e.g., SC, ST, OBC, Minority, EBC, or PwD), vary depending on the specific scholarship scheme being applied for.
Must belong to a minority community.
Enrolled in Class 11, 12, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Technical or Professional courses at recognized institutions.
Minimum 50% marks in the previous examination.
Annual family income should not exceed ?2,00,000.
Maximum 2 students per family can apply.
Aadhaar / Aadhaar Enrolment ID is mandatory for OTR (One-Time Registration).
Distance learning/correspondence courses are not eligible.
Most schemes: Apply before October 31, 2025
Scholarships for Students with Disabilities (Pre-Matric): Deadline August 31, 2025

Example: Minority Post-Matric – 50% marks, income ≤ ?2 lakh, max 2 students per family, Aadhaar required
Institution must be NSP-registered
