Organization Overview

World Health Partners (WHP) is a non-profit organization working to deliver quality healthcare in underserved areas. It leverages technology and local capacity to improve public health, with a focus on early detection and treatment of tuberculosis. WHP is currently implementing a Global Fund-supported project to improve pediatric TB care in several Indian states.


Project Background

Under the Global Fund-supported project titled “Decentralizing Pediatric TB Care Services,” WHP is hiring District Nurse Mentors (DNMs) to improve pediatric sample collection practices and TB case detection in public and private facilities across select districts in Uttar Pradesh.


Position Details

  • Title: District Nurse Mentor (DNM)

  • Number of Positions: 2 (One each in Ayodhya and Mathura)

  • Reporting To: District Project Manager

  • Location: District HQ (Ayodhya and Mathura)

  • Type: Full-time, field-based

  • Remuneration: Up to ?25,000/month (based on experience)


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of healthcare facilities for pediatric TB sample collection challenges

  • Coordinate training and mentoring of nurses and doctors in techniques like gastric aspirate, induced sputum, and nasopharyngeal aspirate

  • Collaborate with NTEP, WCD, ICDS, and other departments for referral strengthening

  • Monitor performance, plan mentorship visits, and support system improvements

  • Track sample collection and support SOP development

  • Cover neighboring districts as per project needs


Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: B.Sc./Diploma/M.Sc. in Nursing

  • Experience: 5–10 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric sample collection

  • Skills: Strong communication, mentoring ability, clinical knowledge, and field-readiness

  • Language: Proficiency in English and the regional language

  • Certification: Valid Nursing Certificate required
