Powered by OpenAI Sora | Available Now on Bing App
Microsoft has officially launched Bing Video Creator, a free AI video generation tool that allows anyone to create five-second clips using simple text prompts. Powered by OpenAI’s Sora model, this tool brings advanced video creation capabilities to the fingertips of everyday users — no editing software needed.
Currently available via the Bing mobile app (Android & iOS), Bing Video Creator lets you type what you want to see, and the AI does the rest. A desktop version is expected to be released soon.
Download the Bing app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Open the app and go to the “Video Creator” option from the bottom-right menu.
Type a prompt like:
???? “A robot chef preparing sushi in a futuristic kitchen with glowing lights.”
Bing will process the input and generate a 5-second vertical (9:16) video.
You’ll get a notification when it’s ready — download it, share the link, or post on social media.
?? Note: You can generate up to 3 videos at a time. Each video stays available for 90 days.
Be specific!
“A man running”
“A man in a blue tracksuit running along a foggy mountain trail at sunrise, in slow motion”
Include:
Emotion or tone
Setting
Motion or action
Objects, clothes, style, etc.
Microsoft has built-in strong AI safety mechanisms to prevent misuse:
Prompts flagged as risky are blocked.
All videos include digital credentials (C2PA standard) confirming they're AI-generated.
Microsoft uses both OpenAI’s Sora filters and its own safeguards for content moderation.
Horizontal (16:9) video support.
