Bahawalpur to Kotli: Why These Sites Were Targeted
May 16, 2025
PM Modi addressed the nation after Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK on May 7, 2025.
He described the operation as the "new normal" in India’s anti-terror doctrine, following the 2016 surgical strikes and 2019 air strikes.
More than 100 terrorists were eliminated in strikes on key locations like Lashkar HQ in Muridke and Jaish base in Bahawalpur.
“If there is any terrorist attack on India, we will respond decisively—at a time and place of our choosing. Every terror root will be uprooted,” said PM Modi.
“India will not be deterred by nuclear threats. If terrorists hide behind nuclear posturing, we will strike with precision.”
“There is no difference between a terrorist and the state that protects them. Pakistan's top military bidding farewell to slain terrorists proves their complicity.”
Targeted 9 terrorist hideouts across Pakistan and PoK
Over 100 terrorists neutralized
Strikes hit key hubs of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed
PM Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor is not the end, and India will continue evaluating Pakistan’s behavior. The Indian military remains on high alert, and further action will depend on developments in the region.
