Bigg Boss 18: Salman Khan schools Eisha for using

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s home struggles continued as they suffered their third consecutive defeat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a rain-shortened 14-over IPL 2025 match, RCB managed only 95/9, falling short once again in front of their home crowd. Despite Tim David’s fighting half-century, Punjab Kings chased the target with five wickets in hand, thanks to a composed 33* by Nehal Wadhera.
On a difficult pitch that offered grip and uneven bounce, both teams had to battle hard with the bat. However, it was Punjab Kings who adapted better to the conditions, using their spinners and support bowlers more effectively.
Put into bat first, RCB never looked settled. The powerplay saw early setbacks with Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, and Liam Livingstone departing cheaply. Rajat Patidar looked promising for a brief period but fell trying to up the ante. Yuzvendra Chahal (2/11) and Marco Jansen (2/10) exploited the conditions perfectly, leaving RCB reeling at 47/7.
It was Tim David who brought some hope with a blistering 50* off 26 balls, including three sixes in the final over, helping RCB crawl to 95/9 in 14 overs.
Josh Hazlewood (3/14) gave RCB a glimmer of hope with crucial breakthroughs, dismissing key batters like Josh Inglis and Shreyas Iyer. But lack of support from the other end allowed PBKS to keep the chase on track. Nehal Wadhera, calm under pressure, hit three sixes in his unbeaten 33 off 19 balls, guiding Punjab to a well-earned win with 11 balls to spare.
Tim David: Scored an unbeaten 50 and single-handedly lifted RCB to a respectable total.
Yuzvendra Chahal: Masterful with the ball, taking 2 wickets for just 11 runs.
Josh Hazlewood: Struck thrice to keep RCB in the game.
Nehal Wadhera: Played the finisher’s role to perfection for PBKS.
The Royal Challengers struggled to rotate strike and build partnerships. A two-paced wicket needed smart batting, but rash shot selection and lack of composure led to a collapse. Their bowling attack, while decent in patches, lacked consistent pressure outside of Hazlewood’s spell.
Both teams will now head to Mullanpur for the reverse fixture, scheduled for April 20. It’s a quick turnaround, and RCB will be desperate to break their home jinx, while PBKS will look to build on their momentum and climb higher in the points table.
