Assistant Project Manager - Citizens Foundation
Location: Tamulpur, Assam
Application Deadline: 4th October 2024

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the successful implementation of project activities across three thematic areas:Work closely with the Director of Rural Management and the Project Manager and take on responsibilities in the Project Manager’s absence.
    • Livelihood, Environment & Agriculture
    • Education
    • Health & Watershed Management (Sustainable Development)
  2. Provide technical input in areas related to Livelihood and Agriculture under sustainable development.
  3. Supervise field studies and assessments.
  4. Prepare and collect high-quality, timely field reports.
  5. Identify staff training needs and inform the Project Manager.
  6. Prepare and submit monthly project implementation plans for Watershed Management.
  7. Prepare monthly budgets for activities and submit to the Project Manager.
  8. Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.
  9. Participate in workshops, training, and meetings organized by the Department and other agencies.
  10. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Rural Development, Community Development, MARD, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in integrated livelihood-based projects.
  3. Candidates from Assam and particularly Tamulpur will be preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, Livelihoods, Livestock Management, Environment, and Clean Energy.
  • Community mobilization experience and ability to coordinate with governments and corporate partners.
  • Supply chain & marketing, Watershed Management, Emergency Response expertise.
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be able to handle 50% fieldwork for project monitoring and implementation.
