Hello, we are Mohammad Alashi and my sister Reema Alashi. I am an independent YouTuber, I live in Turkey. I used to publish and tell stories about the suffering of the people of Gaza, but now with great sadness I must tell you the story of my father, my sister, and her little daughter.
This is their story:
“Hello, I am Lina, a mother from Gaza, Palestine. I have a three-year-old daughter named Sandy. My father is also with us in Gaza. Before the devastating war shook our lives, my husband and I built a small business and a warm home full of love and memories in Gaza.
On October 7th, everything changed, Our home and business were destroyed in the conflict, We had to flee to the southern part of Gaza, amidst relentless bombings escaping a trail of destruction and chaos, leaving everything behind, with only the clothes on our backs.
We took refuge in a small house crowded with 80 others. We live in constant fear. We lack clean water, food, and electricity. My daughter was suffering from gastroenteritis due to the harsh conditions. There was not adequate medical care during our displacement. We were cut off from the world without internet amid the sound of war. Continuously, for more than three months, we lived in unimaginable conditions.
My daughter, who is just starting to learn to speak, repeats words like "bombing sound, ambulance" and "I'm scared" instead of having a normal childhood. She was crying because of the constant bombing and large explosions. We have lost members of our families and friends, and every day brings the fear of more loss.
Our biggest concern is Sandy's future, where she will live, study and grow up. With everything destroyed, her prospects became bleak. We aim to provide her with a safe life, nutrition, education, and most importantly, peace. These are the minimum rights of the child.
As I worry about my father, who has been a pillar of strength in our family, I hope to provide him with a semblance of security and comfort. As we look to rebuild, we are faced with the reality of having no home or income, and the rebuilding process will be long and expensive.
We are reaching out for your support through donations. Any contribution, big or small, will help us rebuild our lives, ensure Sandy has the childhood she deserves, and put a smile back on my father's face as he watches his granddaughter grow up. Your support is not only financial, but rather a gesture of solidarity and humanity.”
Thank you for considering our call for help.
