Job description:-

Protect the Company by ensuring effective, comprehensive handling, tracking and closure of all litigations, instituted against/ by the company

Safeguard the interest of the Company by ensuring timely intervention, closure of legal notices, raised against/ by the company, by informed, well-reasoned replies

To do extensive research, draft comprehensive pleadings/defence for the company, provide effective arguments and counter arguments or prefer appeal to seek the favourable judgment

To maintain the update tracker of all litigations

Constant follow ups with our external counsels/ law firms to keep a tab on the actions undertaken by them

Support various cross functions to resolve various legal issues in order to support and help the business to take more compliant decision

Hiring of local advocates in various cities of India wherever the possibility of litigation seems

To initiate as well as countering or vetting of notices raised by or against the company respectively by private parties or government bodies

To undertake resolution through informed legal advisory capabilities, extensive research, drafting of comprehensive notices or reply to notices on behalf of the company and timely delivery of the same to ensure risk mitigation

Ensure legal compliance all the applicable laws across the offices of the Company and the external/ third party sites/ depots/ locations where the business is being conducted by the Company

Ensure adherence in such a way as to reduce the risk of fine imposition on the Company and to reduce the risk of litigation which might get started in case of non-compliance happens.

Work Experience:-

Conduct trainings across the employees of the Company and its vendors/ service providers to sensitize on the applicable laws, compliances and Tata Code of Conduct

To ensure that various mailers, newspaper advertisement, leaflets, flyers etc are as per law in order to protect the brand image/reputation of the Company and reduce the risk of monetary fine which may be imposed in case on non-compliance of law

Executing Drafting all the contracts including various sale purchase and service-related agreements/contracts including NDA, SLA, MOU, LOA, employment agreements, etc

Studying the tenders floated by various Government and private organization; and providing inputs on the specific clauses while foreseeing the risk for the company

Responsible for understanding the nuances, interpreting, and simplifying the Contracts

Advising on a wide range of legal matters, including regulatory, labour laws, operational, and employment issues to support the firm s growth and international business strategy and support long term compliance strategies, planning and opportunities

Managing the regulatory coverage for the company s all types of business activities including domestic and international, liaising with regulators, various govt bodies and their legal advisors/consultants from multiple regions

Working closely with the team in customer on-boarding, various vendor onboarding by providing guidance on securities law and regulations

Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional labour laws and regulations

Liaising with external legal counsel to obtain guidance and reach a resolution on highly specialized legal matters

Ensuring authentic adherence of all applicable statutory compliances by handholding with officers

Follow-up and escalation for non-compliance incidents

Analysing potential statutory risks in the operation and provide legally acceptable risk mitigation way outs and assisting in getting applicable statutory permits and licenses

Sharing the implication note about changes in Laws & rules

Legally permissible ideas to improve the statutory compliant operations

Attending Governance council meeting and highlight the points relating to statutory compliances

Responsible for documentation and record keeping of all legal matters

Desired Profile:-

Graduate in law from a reputed university with 5-7 years of experience from a reputed organisation

Very good understanding of Service sale agreements, PPP Contracts, Labour, Industrial and Environment Laws

Position requires efficient working with quick turnaround and ability to contribute at various levels to the Company's initiatives
