The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has officially announced the re-conduction of Anthropology optional Papers I and II for the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Main Written Examination 2023. This step follows a serious issue in the previous examination held on April 27, 2025, where questions for the two papers were mistakenly interchanged.

This significant mix-up caused confusion and complaints from candidates. Following the grievances, OPSC has decided to cancel the April 27 exam and conduct a fresh exam on May 14, 2025, to maintain fairness and transparency.

Official Statement from OPSC
“Considering the dislocation caused by the interchange of questions between Anthropology optional Papers I and II, and the grievances submitted by candidates, the Commission has decided to re-conduct the said papers to ensure fairness,” the official notice stated.
