Position : Head of Finance
Organisation Profile :
CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) is the nodal agency appointed by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development for setting up, managing and monitoring the CHILDLINE 1098 service across India ,since last over 25 years . CIF is the sole agency/body responsible for establishing the CHILDLINE service across the country, monitoring service delivery and finance, training, research and documentation, creating awareness, advocacy as well as resource generation for the service.
Position Overview :
Lead the Finance & Administration function and framing policy from time to time to achieve CIF’s Vision and Goals
Roles and Responsibilities :
I. To establish & maintain a sustainable financial internal control system
II. To develop a strong MIS across the organization & to ensure availability of financial information at any given point of time; Also responsible for streamlining the operations of ‘Mother NGO’ and to keep a tight monetary control on the budgets
III. To ensure that a comprehensive Procedural Manual has been adhered to for all financial processes; Also framing financial policy for better internal control as & when required in consultation with Executive Director
IV. To assist the all program & non program departments, regional resource center in handling the financial aspects, scrutiny of accounts, adherence to policy etc.
V. To exercise a complete budgetary control over funds received from different donors such as the GOI, Institutional Funders, Corporate, etc. Ensure compliance with Government of India & other local & foreign donor budgetary reporting requirements
VI. Constant follow up with GOI to ensure timely sanction of funds and submitting utilization certificates as & when due
VII. Implementation of ‘Mother NGO’s Human Resources Policy
VIII. Supervise all accounting functions .Ensure compliance on as submission of accounts and returns to the Tax Departments, Registrar of Societies/Charity Commissioner, etc.;
IX. Attend to secretarial functions for Management Committee and Governing Board meetings
X. Provide necessary administrative support to all departments of the organization in relation to logistics of organizing Workshops, maintenance of assets such as Insurance documents and AMCS, procuring assets, repairs and maintenance, travel bookings, etc
XI. Ensure security and maintenance of all assets of the organisation
Qualifications & Experience:
CA / Cost Accountant with minimum 10-12 years in industry, preferably in a NGO sector/ MBA- Finance with minimum 5 years of experience in the Senior/ Leadership level
