Sarvoday School, has been established for the benefit of the tribal area population as well as for the poorest of poor and underprivileged sections of the society and functional since the Last 14 years in Navavas village, Danta Taluka, Banaskantha District of Gujarat State.
Most Percentage of the students studying in the school are first generation learners who come from Low income category of the society. When there is constant struggle to make ends meet and enormous struggle for sustaining life education and the value of education loses sheen and takes a back seat.
Because of this poor economical status of the population their children had been losing out opportunities to get educated. Emphasizing the need and value of education Sarvoday school was established and since then has been rendering service to the economically poor students since the 14 years.
Apart from the school activities the welfare trust organizes Career guidance and counseling seminars and provides training on personality growth and development and also organizes classes for the School Drop outs and Adult education classes.
In spite of many hurdles and challenges faced by the school management we have managed to run the school and for further up gradation and to get necessary facilities for the school.
We are requesting / appealing to the Individuals / Corporates / Public and Private sector Companies / Donors / Donor agencies to support us in this initiative by providing Donations / Contributions to serve the community better and to bring change in the lives of the Poor and Needy.
UNIFORMS, BOOKS AND HOME WORK DIARY: Students are expected to come to School in the prescribed uniform and to be smartly groomed. Relevant books, neatly covered should be brought as per the time-table. Parents must ensure that the homework is completed and the diary is signed every day.
TRANSPORT: school provides transport facility by bus very affordable rate 200 Rs per Students who avail the School Transport System are hereby instructed that NO foul language, bullying, throwing articles out of the bus.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE: Girls’ hair should always be neatly groomed and tied. Boys’ hair must be cut above the collar level and well comb any kind of Coloring of hair, inappropriate hair styling is not allowed.
PARENTAL INTERFERENCE: Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms. They may meet the Founder Chairman / Director of Academics / Principal only, unless there is an emergency. With prior permission they are permitted to meet the Class Teachers and the Subject Teachers between 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. They are expected to attend all Parent Teacher Meetings and collect the report cards without fail.
TEST AND EXAMINATION: Attendance at Tests and Examinations is compulsory. Malpractices in examinations will be viewed seriously. Offenders will be marked zero and they are likely to be suspended / expelled. The student is expected to pass in all the subjects for promotion to the next class. The School will follow the Cumulative Progress System of 10% of each Unit Test, 20% of I Term Examination and 60% of Final Term Examination for promotion to the next class. Under no circumstance re-examination is permitted. If any student is absent for test or examination due to any reason there will be no re-test conducted. 75% of attendance is compulsory to attend the final examination.
PROJECT WORK: Project work in every subject is a part of the syllabus / curriculum from Std I to Std X. Parents are advised to ensure that the students take these assignments seriously and submit them for evaluation on the specified dates mentioned in the School Diary.
PARENTAL CO-OPERATION: Parents are requested to co-operate in all our School activities. The students must be encouraged to take part in all the extra and co-curricular activities organized by the School.
KNOWLEDGE HUB: Students have to maintain perfect silence in the knowledge hub. Students have to take care of the library property. The Computer in the library to be sued only for academic purpose.
