About Korea Eximbank

The Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) was established to promote economic cooperation between Korea and partner countries through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). The bank manages the fund's administrative operations, including project identification, appraisal, loan agreements, and disbursements. EDCF supports developmental projects in various sectors such as transportation, health, water supply, sanitation, energy, and education, with a significant focus on projects in India.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand ODA Guidelines: Clearly understand India's ODA guidelines and their application to economic infrastructure projects in line with the EDCF program.
  • Primary Contact: Act as the primary contact point between Korea Eximbank New Delhi Office and Indian stakeholders including government ministries, state governments, and project implementation agencies.
  • Project Identification: Explore and identify new project ideas for EDCF's participation in India's developmental projects, focusing on sectors such as sustainable energy, logistics, transportation infrastructure, ICT, and healthcare.
  • Sector Analysis: Conduct deep dives into target sectors or states and develop comprehensive cooperation strategies.
  • Policy and Portfolio Management: Support the formulation and management of country policies and portfolios in line with changing Indian government regulations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress, disbursement, and results of EDCF projects, and maintain updated sector information.
  • Meeting Support: Prepare for and support meetings with the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) and other entities, including mission preparations and documentation.
  • Networking: Build and maintain contacts with relevant officials, co-financiers, and stakeholders to facilitate project development.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required by the New Delhi Representative Office.

Requirements and Skills

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree, preferably in fields like Finance, Economics, Policy, Engineering, Development Cooperation, or related areas. A postgraduate qualification may be preferred.
  • Experience: Professional experience in ODA program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Knowledge of multilateral or bilateral donor procedures is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical, comprehension, and communication skills.
  • Availability to Travel: Must be available for travel as required.
