The SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2024-25 is an initiative by the State Bank of India (SBI) Foundation in collaboration with various reputed NGOs. The program aims to engage bachelor’s degree holders aged 21-32 in tackling significant rural development challenges by working and living alongside communities. This experience fosters transformative leadership and promotes sustainable development.
About the Program
The fellowship empowers young graduates to address rural development issues through a hands-on approach, promoting leadership and social change. Fellows gain valuable insights and experiences that help them contribute effectively to rural communities.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must:
Be an Indian citizen, a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)*
Be between 21 and 32 years of age as of the program's commencement date.
Have completed a bachelor’s degree before the program starts.
*Note: Applicants without an OCI card should visit the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India website for OCI registration. Since the process can take 1-3 months, it is recommended to start the OCI application as soon as possible, ideally alongside the Fellowship application.
Benefits
Selected fellows will receive:
A readjustment allowance of ?70,000.
A certificate of completion from the SBI Foundation.

Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship by following these steps:

Fill in the required details and click on 'Submit'.
A link will be sent to the registered email to begin the 'Online Assessment Stage'.
Fill in the application form with all the required details, answer the essay questions, and upload relevant documents (if any).
Submit the application.

Selection Criteria
The selection panel evaluates candidates based on a holistic approach that includes factors beyond academic qualifications and work experience. The process involves interviewing candidates to gain a deeper understanding of their potential and fit for the program.
Terms and Conditions
The fellowship does not guarantee job placement after the 13-month program.
Selected fellows are required to reside in the project location for the program's duration. Part-time participation is not allowed.
An online forum is available for shortlisted applicants to learn more about the program and address any questions.
Essay questions in the application form must be answered within a 60-minute time limit.
Following the online assessment invitation, fellows have 10 days to complete and submit it.
