Selection Criteria
Selections are based on the presentation of the proposed research project followed by an interview of shortlisted candidates by specially constituted committees.
Terms and Conditions
- The fellowship terms and conditions will align with those applicable to CSIR Research Associateship (RA) until further notice.
- The appointing CSIR laboratory will cover 20% of the annual expenditure from its internal resources.
- 20% of the fellowship amount will be paid as a lump sum at the end of the 1st and 2nd year, respectively.
- Selected candidates are expected to join within four months of the award's effective date.
- Candidates who completed their PhD at a particular CSIR laboratory are not eligible to become a PDF in the same laboratory under this scheme.
- The fellowship is tenable for two years and may be extended for a maximum of one additional year based on outstanding performance and recommendations.
