Background
JSIPL is dedicated to improving public health across India by working on projects in partnership with entities such as USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and GAVI. The GAVI CDS 3.0 project, “V-Shiksha,” aims to increase vaccination awareness through the School Health & Wellness Programme under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
Job Summary
The District Coordinator will implement the program in their assigned district and manage project monitoring and reporting. Responsibilities include liaising with district authorities, coordinating data collection, developing training plans, and ensuring the program's adherence to schedules and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Design assessments and develop actionable intervention plans
Liaise with district authorities to support intervention rollout
Facilitate data collection and supervise data entry and compilation
Develop and monitor training plans for students and teachers
Ensure adherence to timelines for content delivery in schools
Collect qualitative and quantitative programmatic data
Submit accurate monthly and quarterly progress reports
Advocate for the integration of project chapters into school curriculums
Travel regularly to oversee program activities
Participate in dissemination opportunities at state and district levels
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Graduate degree in public health or related fields
Experience: 3-5 years in immunization or related public health programs
Skills:
Computer skills and experience in data collection and analysis
Strong reporting practices and procedures
Proficiency in written and oral communication, including local languages of the states
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Willingness to travel within the district for fieldwork
