Qualification And Skill:-
- Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed University with 12-15 years of industry experience in purchasing and expediting functions(minimum 5 years in expediting) in a reputed company on Energy, Infrastructure, or mining projects.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of equipment and material fabrication steps and methods.
- Proficiency in monitoring supplier performance, back-charge procedures and the resolution of claims and disputes.
- Thorough understanding of Logistics and Supplier Quality processes.
- Proficient in interpreting schedules to ensure that realistic milestones are established, that required activities occur on time, and that interface between activities is maintained.
- Skilled in oral and written communication skills regarding technical and production matters with both project and supplier personnel.
- Knows how to deal professionally with suppliers and project personnel.
- Capable of providing early warning to the Project Management of supplier deficiencies or schedule slippage.
- Familiar with how to develop expediting budgets.
- Familiar with developing and tracking metrics.
