This is the first time in Hindi cinema that two films crossed the Rs 400 crore mark in the same year at the domestic box office. Yes, after Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film 'Pathan', now actor Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's film 'Gadar 2' has also entered this exclusive club. The film 'Gadar 2' has shown this wonderful feat on the 12th day of its release. The film 'Pathan' entered the 400 crore club on its 11th day of release.
Tuesday came as a great news for all the stars of the film 'Gadar 2'. On its 12th day i.e. 2nd Tuesday, Gadar 2 continues its strong run at the domestic box office and has collected around Rs 11.50 crore as per early trends. With this, the total net collection of the film has increased to Rs 400.10 crore. The film 'Gadar 2' is the second Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema to cross this mark.
Apart from the films made and released in Hindi, 'Pathan' and 'Gadar 2', this club also includes two more films made in other languages and released in Hindi, 'Baahubali 2' and 'KGF 2'. So far only two heroes Sanjay Dutt and Shah Rukh Khan from Hindi cinema were included in this list. Among heroines, only Deepika Padukone's name is decorating this Sehra, now Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma, Ameesha Patel and Simrat Kaur have also entered this club.
Anil Sharma's entry is the oldest among the directors to join the 400 crore club. Prior to him, SS Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel have been in this club due to the Hindi dubbed versions of their films 'Baahubali 2' (Telugu) and 'KGF 2' (Kannada). Director Siddharth Anand's name entered this list due to the film 'Pathan' this year.
