In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, UNICEF, World Health Organization, University of Manitoba, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.

Roles and Responsibilities & Program Management:

• S(he) will be responsible for planning and managing technology development and implementation aspects for smooth functioning of the program.

• Manage the delivery of all the workstreams – Product, Engineering, Partnership, Implementation etc.

• Keep a track of key milestones/deliverables and anticipate issues that need resolution and ensure that the overall effort is on the path to success and call out potential threats and dangers, and drive resolution in a timely manner.

• Be the first point to manage any interactions and escalations for State and Jhpiego. Government Partner Engagement:

• Liaison with the State, implementation, technical teams and PMU to streamline operations of the technology.

• Provide programmatic updates and guidance on next steps of the program.

• S(he) will also be responsible for evangelizing the program to a larger ecosystem for wider adoption.

• Overall responsibility to ensure effective and efficient IT Operations Support Unit team Responsible for all deliverables and milestones including performance testing & optimization Lead will be responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly progress reports for IT Operations Support Unit

• Manage technical resources, gap assessment (both technical and operational), resource estimation and implementation of IT and MNH program requirements

• Responsible for managing stakeholders for the identification of requirements and issue resolution

• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of the project (esp. As it relates to MNH applications)

• Responsible for coordination, appraisal and review with all stakeholders for implementation of the project

• Coordination with other assigned stakeholders for capacity building, gap assessment, requirement gathering etc. to meet the user's requirements

• Assist in the adaptation of new technologies and best practices suitable for the project

• Documenting challenges in the project and suggesting the most feasible solution

• Maintaining change logs and ensuring appropriate testing of applications prior to release.

• Monitoring utilization and bugs in applications.

• Responsible for delivery of relevant project documents

• Ensuring adequate knowledge management, transfer and capacity building within Govt.

• Execute Activities assigned by Jhpiego.

Abilities/Skills:

• Ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds is critical in this role. A degree in engineering or related field(s) required; post-graduate degree in management, public policy, rural/urban management, engineering or related field(s) will be preferred.

• Detail-oriented in program planning & execution including scope & requirements management, collaboration with partners, communications plans, & risk management etc.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills (ability to communicate complex ideas in a meaningful way).

• Excellent client relationship and expectation management skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable leading without authority.

• Rigorous Program Monitoring, Reporting & escalation to steering committee.

Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience:

• B.Tech/BE (Computer Science) / M.Tech /MCA

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT consulting, project management IT development & IT implementation projects. Out of which 3 years of experience working for government clients

• Good to have: Experience in Health-related IT consulting, IT development or IT implementation projects.
