A claim was presented before the collector that the dargah was a waqf property

The Waqf Board has written to the District Collector to suspend the process of decommissioning the Dargah near Majewadi Darwaza in Junagadh. Regarding this, Chief Executive Officer of Gujarat State Wakf Board M.H. Khumar has sent a letter to the District Collector. According to the letter, the dargah located outside the Junagadh Majewadi Darwaza is registered with the Waqf Board.

A waqf property once waqf remains a waqf property for ever which is also established in the judgment of the Supreme Court. Therefore, it is requested to suspend the process of removing the pressure in the Waqf property outside Majewadi Darwaza and to keep the existing condition of the place without any change or transfer in the Waqf property.

Two accused who attacked DySP on remand till this afternoon

The two accused who were arrested in the case of stone attack on the DySP of Junagadh were arrested by the police and produced in the court and the court granted a 2-day remand. According to the details in this regard, last Friday, the Manpa issued a notice to the dargah outside Majewadi Darwaza and asked them to submit supporting evidence within 5 days. However, within hours of posting the notice, a large crowd gathered and later started pelting stones on the police. In this stone pelting, PSI, policeman and DySP Hitesh Dhandhalya were injured.

Later, a complaint was registered in that division and the investigation was conducted by LCB PI J.J. Patel did. 71 accused have been arrested during investigation. In the incident of this attack, LCB arrested the accused Asif Yusuf Bloch and Raish Rahimbhai Juneja and produced them in the court for the crime of stone pelting on DySP Hitesh Dhandhalya. Court has granted remand for 2 days, both the accused are on remand in police custody till 3 pm on June 24.
